COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS

Lead producer of Tootsie which made its world premiere in the fall of 2018 at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre. Tootsie, which earned rave reviews during its Chicago run, opens on Broadway in the spring of 2019 at the Marquis Theatre. 

Scott Sanders, Anthony Bregman, Mara Jacobs and Lin-Manuel Miranda are producing the highly anticipated feature film adaptation of Miranda’s and Quiara Hudes’ Tony Award-winning musical, In The Heights for Warner Bros.  The film, with a screenplay by Hudes, will be directed by Jon Chu (Crazy Rich Asians).  Filming begins in summer 2019 and Warner Bros. has announced a release date of June 26, 2020.

Prior to this, SSP was the lead producer, with Roy Furman and Oprah Winfrey, of the acclaimed revival of The Color Purple and the lead producer of the Tony Award-winning Cotton Club musical After Midnight. The company co-produced the Tony-nominated, first-ever Broadway revival of Evita, starring Grammy-winning superstar Ricky Martin, Olivier Award winner Elena Roger and Tony winner Michael Cerveris. In 2012, SSP produced The Odd Life of Timothy Green, a Walt Disney film, written and directed by Academy Award nominee Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life, About a Boy), starred Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton and CJ Adams. In 2010, the company produced The Pee-wee Herman Show which was an overwhelming critical and box-office success during its limited Broadway engagement at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
